The Rider-Waite Tarot is one of the most popular and widely used tarot decks in the world. It was created in 1909 by Arthur Edward Waite, a mystical scholar and member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and illustrated by artist Pamela Colman Smith. Published by Rider & Company, this deck revolutionized the way tarot cards are interpreted.
Unlike earlier decks, the Rider-Waite was the first to include detailed illustrations on all 78 cards, including the Minor Arcana. Each image is loaded with esoteric, astrological and kabbalistic symbolism, greatly facilitating interpretation for both beginners and experts.
The deck consists of 22 Major Arcana representing universal forces and major life events, and 56 Minor Arcana divided into 4 suits: Cups, Pentacles, Swords and Wands.
Each card contains symbols from the Kabbalah, astrology and alchemy. Colors, numbers, figures and natural elements have specific meanings that enrich each reading.
Pamela Colman Smith's narrative illustrations make this deck the most accessible for those starting in the world of tarot. Each image tells a story that facilitates intuitive interpretation.
Our online spread allows you to consult the cards at any time and completely free of charge. Focus on your question, select the cards and discover what the tarot has to reveal to you.

This makes it the most accessible and popular deck in the world.
In addition to the 22 Major Arcana, the Rider-Waite Tarot includes 56 Minor Arcana that reflect daily situations, emotions and everyday challenges. They are divided into four suits:
Emotions, relationships, love and intuition. They represent the Water element and the world of feelings.
Money, work, stability and material resources. They represent the Earth element and the tangible.
Mind, conflicts, challenges and decisions. They represent the Air element and the power of thought.
Creativity, action, passion and entrepreneurship. They represent the Fire element and vital energy.
